Photo: ALDEN WILLIAMS Skincare wins Echo fan a classy Cooper Anne D'Herville was stunned'' when she got the phone call saying she had won a brand new Mini Cooper. I think I said; what?'. It's good to know it happens to someone. You sort of see those things and wonder if anyone wins them.'' Anne won the new car, which had less than 30 kilometres on the odom- eter, through an Elizabeth Arden promotion run through Nelson Unichem City Pharmacy. She was given the keys to her new set of wheels on Tuesday outside the shop, attracting envious congratulations from passersby on Trafalgar St. She currently drives a Toyota Echo and said she had not worked out where she would take the new car first, because she had to get used to driving a manual car again first. Her family owned a Mini 30 years ago which had sliding windows. The promotion has run for nine years every May. Nelson Unichem owner Renata Schrader said that it was great that one of their customers had won the new car. Elizabeth Arden regional manager Julie Chatterton said to enter the annual competition, customers simply had to buy two Elizabeth Arden products. In the nine years the competition had run it was only the second time a winner had come from the South Island. Anne was the first winner to come from Nelson.
