Fun in the sun raises $3000 Music, a bit of mischief, and a summer meadow proved a winning combination at Fairfield House. Fairfield House manager Cath- erine Brosnahan said Music and Mischief in the Meadow last Sunday was absolutely wonderful , with just over $3000 raised to help pay for major renovations completed last year. We went a bit over budget. We re just wanting to pay all that off before we do our next project, she said. The meadow was just full of colour and people. It was just delightful. There was lots of dancing to the Nelson Ukulele Orchestra, she said. Other entertainment included a Dragon Dance by puppeteer Akiko Miyamoto, roaming characters from Fairfield s resident theatre company -- Body in Space, and reggae by One Vibe. We wanted to give a really eclec- tic mix of local talent and through that were able to attract a really good age range. We feel really chuffed. It was just one of those delightful Nelson summer days, Catherine said.
