Milo Coldren and Mark Lauder from the TS Talisman Sea Cadet Corps recently atten- ded the monthly meeting of the club s Nelson Marlborough West Coast chapter where they were presented with a cheque for the sum. The money was raised at the chapter s last poker run. Nelson Marlborough West Coast chapter sergeant-at-arms Colin Agnew said in the past money from the run had gone to the RSA but this year they decided to give it to the young people . He said one of the reasons the run was a success was that it attracted club members from outside the region. It went really well. We had more people than we expected, he said. The Patriots Motorcycle Club is made up of past and present members of New Zealand s armed services. It started in Auckland in 1998 and today has 300 members nationwide.
